Stan Store — 0% platform fees, no free plan, and a shop that lives on Instagram

Stan is a hosted storefront for creators. The URL pattern is stan.store/username. You sell files, courses, coaching, memberships, webinars, and similar offers from a mobile-first shop that is designed to be the one link in an Instagram bio.

Stan’s help article Creator vs Creator Pro is the canonical plan list. Creator includes the storefront, calendar/booking, analytics, course builder, subscriptions, lead magnets, community features, and Stan AutoDM. Pro adds marketing muscle: discount codes, Afterpay/Klarna (listed as Stan Payments / BNPL), advanced analytics, and ad pixels.

Stan is closer to Beacons and Gumroad than to Metricool. It is a commerce product that grew Instagram automations, not a scheduler that grew a cart.

You subscribe (trial terms change; do not depend on “no card” claims from old tweets), build offers, and paste the Stan URL in the bio. Instagram AutoDM is documented on the Creator plan — the DM sells Stan’s checkout, which is the whole point of a store-native bot.

Payments: Stan states 0% transaction fees as their platform cut. Processing is Stripe/PayPal (and Stan Payments on Pro). Payout timing, country availability, and payout fees are processor rules. If India is not a first-class payout region for your account, Stan can be a beautiful page that cannot settle rupees.

Custom domains: third-party reviews often claim Stan storefronts stay on stan.store. If owning yourname.com is non-negotiable, verify in current Stan settings before you migrate SEO.

Course depth is “creator course,” not Graphy LMS (apps, DRM, live-class concurrency). If quizzes and certificates matter, read Stan’s current course docs rather than assuming Kajabi.

Stan fits Instagram-first sellers who will pay rent on the shop to avoid a percentage, who like a templated store aesthetic, and whose buyers pay with the processors Stan supports.

It is a poor fit for “I just need a free bio,” for serious LMS schools, and for rupee-UPI catalogs unless you have verified India payments and payouts on your own account.

Official help (June 2026):

Platform transaction fee: 0% (Stan). Processor fees: extra. No public “sell on Free.”

$29/month is cheap compared with Kajabi and expensive compared with a free SuperKreator or Superprofile Starter page. The 0% cut becomes attractive only after GMV would have paid more than $29 in someone else’s percentage — and only if those sales would have happened on Stan’s rails anyway.

SuperKreator wins starting at $0, Cashfree UPI, and a username that is yours on this product rather than a Stan subdomain.

They substitute only if both can collect from your buyers. If your audience is Indian UPI, Stan’s 0% does not help. If your audience is US Instagram and you hate percentages, Stan’s rent may be cheaper than Gumroad’s 10% + $0.50.

Choose Stan when you will pay $29+ anyway, you want the shop to look like Stan, AutoDM should sell Stan SKUs, and your processor geography matches your customers.

Consider SuperKreator when you need to launch without a USD subscription, when UPI is the conversion lever, or when you do not want the public brand to be stan.store.
