Graphy — Unacademy’s course OS, revenue share, and why it is not a bio tool
Graphy is an Unacademy-owned course platform for Indian educators: websites, live classes, apps, and DRM. It is a classroom that can take UPI — not a link-in-bio, and not Instagram AutoDM.

Graphy is the tool you look at when the “digital product” is a school. It sits in the Unacademy orbit: course websites, live sessions, learner apps, DRM, WhatsApp-ish marketing add-ons. Creators in India compare it with Classplus, Teachable, and Kajabi — not with Linktree.
SuperKreator lists “courses” as something you can sell as files or products. That is not Graphy’s job. Graphy is trying to be the campus. Using it as a bio link is possible the way using Moodle as a bio link is possible: technically a URL, culturally wrong.
This page keeps pricing conservative. Graphy’s own help still describes a 10% + GST revenue share (or ₹10, whichever is higher) plus a historical ₹19,999 onboarding fee for Indian creators. Public marketing pages in 2026 have also shown annual Launch/Grow/Rise grids. Those two stories can both exist as Graphy experiments with packaging. Verify on graphy.com/pricing and in your contract.
What is Graphy?
Graphy is an online business / LMS platform used heavily by Indian educators. Parentage matters: Unacademy-scale infrastructure is the trust story Graphy sells against a random WordPress plugin.
You get a hosted course site, content hosting, live class tooling, checkout aimed at India (UPI via Graphy’s payment story / Razorpay-class gateways), and — on higher commercial packages — branded Android/iOS apps. That is Stan Store’s “course builder” taken seriously.
It is not ManyChat, not Metricool, and not SuperKreator. Those comparisons only appear because all of them invoice “creators.”
How does Graphy work?
You build offerings (recorded courses, cohorts, digital bundles), point a domain at Graphy, and send learners to checkout. Graphy handles access after payment. Live class concurrency, email marketing caps, and mobile apps depend on the commercial package you are on.
Enrollment is gated through Graphy’s checkout. Official help states you cannot enroll learners from the back end or via third-party tools. That is a deliberate lock-in: Graphy wants to be the system of record for the student.
Payments for Indian creators: Graphy’s help article on revenue share (updated March 2025) says the creator earns amount paid − payment gateway charges − Graphy revenue share. Example they publish: on a ₹1,000 sale, gateway ₹23.6, revenue share + GST ₹118, creator ₹858.4. If share would be under ₹10, they charge flat ₹10 + GST.
Key features of Graphy
What Graphy is hired to do:
- Course websites and content hosting
- Live classes / webinars
- Checkout with India methods (UPI is a reason people stay)
- DRM / content protection (a major “why Graphy not Drive links” argument)
- Learner mobile apps on higher packages
- Marketing email and WhatsApp-ish distribution as packaged add-ons
- AI site/page helpers on newer marketing grids
What it is not hired to do:
- Instagram comment-to-DM as a core loop
- Multi-brand social analytics
- A pretty six-button bio
Who is Graphy best for?
Serious teachers, working coaches with cohorts, UPSC/finance/fitness educators who need apps and protection, and anyone whose support load is “where is lecture 14?” not “where is my PDF?”
Hobby sellers of a single Notion template will overpay Graphy in both attention and revenue share.
Graphy pricing
Treat Graphy pricing as contract-shaped, not tweet-shaped.
Official help (Indian creators, March 2025 article):
- Revenue share 10% + GST, or ₹10, whichever is higher, per transaction
- One-time onboarding fee of ₹19,999 listed in that same article
- Gateway charges extra (Razorpay / Stripe / Graphy PG)
- Custom gateway setups can be invoiced monthly for the share
Public 2026 marketing (third-party captures of graphy.com/pricing) has listed annual Launch ₹24,999, Grow ₹49,999, Rise ₹99,999 with declining transaction percentages (10% / 7.5% / 5% in those roundups). We could not freeze that grid from Graphy’s site at write time (the pricing URL did not return a stable public document). Do not budget off a blog table. Open Graphy’s current pricing and the PDF/contract they send you.
GST at 18% on software invoices is the usual India extra unless your accountant says otherwise.
Advantages of Graphy
- Actual LMS, not a file drop.
- India payments as a native concern.
- Unacademy-adjacent trust for some student segments.
- Apps and DRM when piracy is a real P&L line.
- Live class as a product, not a Zoom link in a Google Doc.
Limitations of Graphy
- Revenue share + onboarding can dwarf SuperKreator-style file selling.
- You cannot silently enroll people from another tool (official help).
- Annual / sales-led packaging is heavier than a $0 bio.
- Wrong tool for AutoDM and bio. You will still want a storefront in front of the campus.
- Pricing pages and help articles have not always told the same story — read both.
Graphy alternatives
- Classplus — another India “teacher app” vendor (different contract; not reviewed in full here).
- Teachable / Kajabi / Thinkific — global LMS, weaker UPI.
- Superprofile — courses as SKUs without Graphy-scale LMS.
- SuperKreator — sell the thing; do not host the semester.
- YouTube + SuperKreator — dirty but real for people who do not need DRM.
Graphy vs SuperKreator
Graphy wins campus, DRM, apps, live class, student system of record.
SuperKreator wins speed to a public username, simple digital delivery, Instagram-adjacent selling, and not taking LMS revenue share on a PDF.
They are complements. SuperKreator can be the Instagram door; Graphy can be the building behind it. Replacing one with the other is a category error.
When should you choose Graphy?
Choose Graphy when learners need a product that behaves like school, when you will sign their pricing contract with eyes open on share + onboarding, and when piracy or apps are actual requirements.
When should you consider SuperKreator?
Consider SuperKreator when you are selling a file, a short workshop, or a 1:1 call, and the “LMS” would be a costume. Use it in front of Graphy when Instagram is how students arrive.
Comparison
An LMS versus a creator store. Almost every row should be a landslide one way or the other.
| Dimension | Graphy | SuperKreator |
|---|---|---|
| Primary job | Host and protect a school | Bio + INR store + creator studio thesis |
| LMS / DRM / learner apps | Yes — that is the product Stronger here | No |
| Simple file delivery | Possible but economically heavy | Core path after Cashfree payment Stronger here |
| Instagram AutoDM & bio | Not the product | Bio, store, and AutoDM live in the dashboard Stronger here |
| India UPI | Yes, as part of course checkout Even | Yes, as part of the store Even |
| Pricing shape | Share + onboarding and/or annual plans — verify contract | Free to start; no public LMS-style share grid |
Conclusion
Buy Graphy when students need a classroom: progress, live, apps, content protection. Do not buy Graphy to replace a link-in-bio, and do not buy SuperKreator to replace an LMS.
The expensive mistake is paying Graphy revenue share on a ₹99 PDF that should have been a SuperKreator file, or trying to run a 12-week cohort on a file-delivery store. Claim a SuperKreator username for the storefront; keep Graphy if you already have (or need) the campus.
